Anu's story

Anu was born in India, and before finding herself in Australia had lived in Africa, Uganda and The UK. She lives in Bacchus Marsh and loves it as a base for everything she needs out of a home.

For her the area represents growth and progress and is flourishing. She isn’t far from the city, and is also on the doorstep of so much space, valleys and gorges. She is able to have an orchid at home which is something she has never experienced living anywhere else. It is here, at home she finds herself with a home studio, inspired to create.

She is trained in Fine Art – now she teaches art as well as creating commissioned public art. She explores a range of mediums: Functional, Textiles, Industrial and painting. Anu is extremely poised and articulate.

Anu’s journey is the hook – her life story is rich, and that personifies the people you can find in the West.
