Meet Woodlea's New Community Development Manager, Pauline

Claire Mouser, passes the baton to Pauline!

A strong part of Woodlea’s philosophy is ensuring that every resident feels connected to their community. Claire has gone above and beyond over the last six years in establishing and sustaining strong community groups as well as ensuring resident’s voices are heard. Now Pauline will continue building on this legacy.

Claire's Commitment

From the very beginning, Claire’s local roots have run deep. She has given service and been a genuine contributor to our community in Aintree and surrounding suburbs. As Woodlea’s Community Development Manager over the last six years:

“I have worked with residents to help them build a community that they are connected to, and enjoy living in. I help them start sporting clubs, activate spaces, run events and I advocate for resident needs.”

Celebrating Claire’s Lasting Contribution

Her unwavering commitment to community has been widely recognised over her lifetime– named Melton City Council’s Citizen of the Year for 2024, and Women of the Year 2014.

Beyond accolades, Claire’s round the clock work has shaped the strong foundations that our community stands on today, attending to many of the finer details in between that have nurtured the social fabric and culture of Woodlea.

“We all have so much to offer, and the rewards you get from volunteering are endless. I would ask people to give more of their time. Volunteer in their passion area. Lend a helping hand or skill set. Sure, it’s time consuming and sometimes thankless or tiring – but I have grown so much as a person through my volunteering and made lifelong friendships. I feel connected to my community and my community feels like family.” – Claire

Welcoming Pauline

Now Claire passes the baton to Pauline- a neighbour, parent, and passionate local who already knows the heartbeat of our community.

Living just minutes down the road, with her children attending school at Woodlea, Pauline is deeply connected and invested in the life of Woodlea.

She brings with her a wealth of lived experience, and a deep commitment to making a difference, with a practical focus on advocating for our youth, building community strength, and empowering residents to ultimately be self-sufficient long after the Woodlea Development has gone.

A Lasting Community Legacy

That is the legacy Claire has established and it’s one that Pauline will continue to nurture as we step into the next chapter of our community together.

Not just creating something for today, but shaping a thriving, inclusive future and building a legacy we can all be proud of as one.

Centred on amplifying residents’ voices. Centred on making residents feel at home, feel connected, proud to belong, and inspired to share their stories and culture.
