Shared path direct to Rockbank Station

The extension of the shared walking & cycle path to Rockbank Station has officially commenced! The new length is being constructed from Woodlea all the way to the new & improved train station, making your commute safer & easier than ever.

Once complete, the journey will be 850 metres which will take approximately ten minutes!

 

The new footpath extends from the existing Leakes Road bus stop to the recently renovated, Rockbank Train Station. The new & improved station is now equipped with: two new longer platforms, a new pedestrian overpass, a 350-space car park, platform seating and canopies, secure bike storage, Myki facilities, lighting and CCTV.

The path is expected to open mid year & whilst underway we ask for your patience as pedestrian access across the Western Freeway will be restricted during certain periods. We do however encourage the use of the new bus route for access to the train station during these periods.
