Woodlea home to new Scouts facility
We’re excited to announce that Woodlea will soon be home to a dedicated Scout facility!
Scout groups encourage the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of young individuals, supporting them to become responsible citizens.
The new hall will not only be of benefit to the Aintree Scout Group but to the entire Woodlea community, as it will be available for hire by community groups, businesses and for private functions.
Benefits of scouting
Scouts Victoria has more than 17,000 youth members and 5,000 adult volunteers, proving its immense popularity. Joining Scouts is beneficial for the following reasons:
- Development of academic & leadership skills as well as self-confidence
- Contribution to the social fabric of Woodlea
- Foster community leaders
Construction is expected to commence in mid-2022 and is anticipated to take 10-12 months to complete.
