How it worksWe’re here to support you throughout the complete process, from initial sale through to design, build and handover.
Preserving a Meaningful Community Tribute Since its installation in 2022, the Remembrance Day mural has served as a place of reflection and remembrance for the Woodlea community. Created to honour local veteran Allan Godfrey, Private Miller Mack, Nurse Vivian Bullwinkel and all Australian service men and women, the mural has become a lasting reminder of the courage, sacrifice and service of those who have served our country. Over the years, it has provided a focal point for the community to commemorate important occasions such as Remembrance Day and ANZAC Day. As the site prepares for its next chapter, preserving the mural has remained a priority. It will be respectfully removed and relocated so its significance can continue to be shared with future generations.
Protecting Its Legacy for Future Generations The preservation of the mural will be undertaken in partnership with the local RSL sub-branches, helping ensure its historical and commemorative importance is protected throughout the relocation process. This collaborative approach reflects a shared commitment to respecting the stories the mural represents while allowing Woodlea Town to continue evolving to meet the needs of our growing community. Although the mural will move to a new home, its purpose will remain unchanged: to provide a lasting place of remembrance for the community.
Thank You for Helping Shape What's Next We’re pleased to share that the land adjoining Woodlea Town Centre has recently settled, marking the next step in the continued evolution of this retail precinct. Plans are currently being developed for a mix of potential shops, hospitality venues and services that will continue to support our growing community. We’d also like to thank everyone who participated in our recent community survey. Your feedback is helping us understand what the community would like to see within this future precinct, with those insights informing planning as it progresses. Keep an eye out for updates as plans evolve, including more information about the mural’s future home.
