Get ready for an exciting new neighbourhood!

Bulk earthworks have now commenced along the Western Freeway to support the construction of a soundwall. This will pave the way for an exciting new neighbourhood, bringing more beautiful new homes to Woodlea.

A New Neighbourhood

Works are currently underway to develop a brand new neighbourhood that will help us to continue supporting our growing community.

This upcoming precinct will feature a diverse mix of lot sizes, thoughtfully designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing Woodlea neighbourhoods. Larger, family-sized lots will be a key highlight of the precinct, ideally positioned close to the Woodlea Town Centre and local schools.

This is an exciting milestone for the area, and is another step towards a bigger and better Woodlea.

Works Are Underway

You may have noticed construction works in your area – these are earthworks for a new acoustic wall along the Western Freeway.

We strive to make Woodlea as peaceful as possible, and this new acoustic wall will reduce noise from vehicles on the Freeway. It will be beautifully designed, blending into Woodlea’s rich native natural landscapes with meaningful details and native greenery.

We are so excited to share this with you once finalised. In the meantime, the earthworks are expected to continue for a couple more months and the wall is planned to be completed by the end of the year.

What This Means for You

While this is an exciting step forward for our growing community, we recognise that construction can impact day-to-day life. We are taking a considered approach to minimise disruption and ensure works are managed as smoothly as possible.

To reduce dust and disruption, works are being staged from east to west. Water carts are operating on site, and there are two managed site access points via Guilderton Esplanade and Tulipwood Avenue. Truck movements are being monitored, and we will address any concerns promptly.

We appreciate your patience as this exciting new chapter progresses. If you have any further queries please contact us.

No. There are no works inside private property boundaries.

The wall will have a clean and modern design that fits well with the surrounding street. There will be landscaping between the wall and existing homes, creating good distance and separation. Trees and plants will help soften the look of the wall, provide a greener outlook, and make sure it looks attractive while still working effectively to reduce noise.
