Biggest Morning Tea We kicked off an action-packed week over the school holidays at our Pop Cafe by bringing together some of the finest baked goods to our community – becoming a one-stop shop for deliciously golden croissants and crunchy pastries, with nothing over $5! Over 250 residents found their way to a sweet slice of the action to rally behind our local neighbour Simone Nithsdale and her son, Brodie, as he awaits a heart transplant in hospital.
A $4,000 contribution to Simone's GoFundMe page With your help, we managed to raise nearly $2,000 (which Woodlea will be doubling) at our fundraiser for Simone and her son, with all cakes selling out before noon! Our Biggest Morning Tea was filled with overwhelming supportive energy coursing through our community. It’s with this help that Simone and her family can focus on Brodie’s health and give him the best possible experience while he’s in hospital.
Cakes for a Cause Thank you to everyone who came down to support a local family of Woodlea. We’re proud of this heartwarming opportunity to bring our thriving community together to experience community heart and spirit. If you weren’t able to make it on Saturday and would like to donate, please visit Simone’s GoFundMe page, any contribution is welcome, no matter how big or small.
