Education precinct set to expand

A huge win for the future of our community, Woodlea’s education precinct has been recognised in the 2022-23 state budget, with funding confirmed for three schools within our growing community.

Two new schools to be built

Woodlea will now be home to the confirmed Aintree Secondary School and the Aintree Specialist School which will be co-located within the secondary school.

We have been busy fast tracking the relevant infrastructure to deliver access to the future school’s site and we are pleased to say construction on both schools is forecast to commence in 2023, with both schools set to open in 2024.

Expansion of Aintree Primary School

With current student enrolments just short of 800 and with this number expected to grow by 120 students per year, we are excited to announce Aintree Primary School has been allocated funding to expand the current campus. This will ensure current and future students are catered for.

Extra developments

In addition to educational developments, the Woodlea community will benefit from the confirmed Melton Hospital, which is due to have design & planning completed by 2024-25 with the hospital to be delivered by 2029.

The Melton Highway will also see $15 million in upgrades, improving the connectivity of Woodlea.
