Our first public primary school is now open!

Bouncing into the school year with a bang, Woodlea, has opened the doors to its first public primary school!

Welcoming over 520 students

The demand was more than double the number that the Department of Education had originally forecast after the school received funding in the 2019-20 State Budget. Its a welcome addition for the growing community, which is currently home to 8,000 residents  – a staggering 50 per cent more than February 2019.

Understanding the importance of choice when it comes to choosing an education provider, Woodlea residents now have access to a range of high quality education in order to give their children the best possible start in life, right on their doorstep.

Catering to the fast-growing Woodlea community, Aintree Primary School is an exciting addition to Woodlea’s flourishing educational offerings, showcasing our commitment to providing the best possible academic and rounded education to the young people of the west.

Upon completion, Woodlea will also include a public secondary school, which received funding approval in 2020 and is on track for its scheduled 2023 completion.

The secondary school will provide a closed loop on Woodlea’s education offering which also includes Bacchus Marsh Grammar Early Learning and Prep to Year 8, Woodlea Early Education and Timbertop Children & Community Centre.
