New year, new Woodlea

Save the dates! The Woodlea calendar is jam-packed with a heap of community events –  from cultural food festivals to our annual fun run, it’s community spirit that sets Woodlea apart!

WOODLEA TURNS 5!

It’s our 5th birthday and what better way to celebrate than by throwing a month-long party in March. Since our launch in 2015, Woodlea has grown to become the fastest expanding suburb in Australia now home to over 5,000 residents and counting.

Read on to hear about all the celebrations we’ve got lined up.

DISPLAY VILLAGE GRAND OPENING

From Saturday, February 29 to Sunday, March 1 — the birthday celebrations kick off with the grand opening of the brand new Display Village, Woodlea Hub, Aintree Reserve & Aintree Cafe & Garden.

Think back to your 5th birthday to channel the vibes we’ll be running with, think a giant birthday cake, colourful confetti, Instagramable moments, big balloons and life-size dinosaurs!

FLAVOUR FEST

Discover a delicious blend of fiery, sweet and smoky sensations at Flavour Fest on Saturday, March 21. Back by popular demand, we’ve teamed up with the City of Melton to reinvigorate the barbeque inspired festival into an epic music celebration with a huge headlining act. Now in its second year, we hope to bring you even better hot treats, cool sounds and sweet vibes.

RUN FOR THE KIDS

One of our favourite days of the year — the Herald Sun / Transurban Run for the Kids — is back on Sunday, March 29. Now in its 15th consecutive year, Woodlea is proud to be the short course psponsor for the second year ‘running’. We’re on a mission to create Australia’s healthiest community and raise money for The Royal Children’s Hospital.

Show your support this year by walking or running over the Bolte Bridge by registering at www.runforthekids.com.au/register or wait to join team Woodlea which we’ll be announcing very soon.
