Immerse yourself in authentic culinary experiences with delicacies from across the globe, right here in Woodlea, as we partner with Free to Feed to host a series of cultural feasts.
Over the next three months, Woodlea will host three cooking classes in collaboration with the social enterprise, which seeks to showcase the talents of people seeking asylum, refugees and new migrants.
Not only is it an amazing opportunity for residents to familiarise themselves with different cuisines, the initiative will encourage a celebration of Woodlea’s inclusive and connected community, with Free to Feed fostering community interconnectivity to remedy the sense of social isolation often faced by new arrivals.
Each cooking class will be taught by a different instructor and will champion their unique skills and individual stories. Through Woodlea’s series of immersive, hands-on cooking lessons you will connect with rich cultural traditions and explore recipes that tell tales of generations of home cooks.
These classes are an intimate and vibrantly light-hearted experience; a journey of discovery, sharing and bountiful, delicious feasting. Participating in a Free to Feed class is akin to a unique travel experience but you can forget your passport, all you need is an appetite!
