New bus route commencing in Woodlea

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) has announced all of the details for the new 444 bus route which will officially commence from December 2nd 2019!

The bus service connects residents of Aintree to the recently upgraded Rockbank train station. This exciting announcement puts public transport within walking distance of all Woodlea residents!

Initially the bus service will undertake a temporary route via Frontier Avenue and complete a loop around the Active Open Space via Timbertop Parade. The ultimate route which is expected to open early 2020 will complete a full loop of Frontier Avenue and Fields Street stopping at the future Woodlea Town Centre and future Government Primary School.

By encouraging one another to engage in public transportation use, together we can build a more sustainable outcome for current and future Woodlea residents while minimising the impact our day-to-day lives have on the environment.

For more information on the new services and the temporary route beginning next month please visit the PTV website.

A big thank you to the Caroline Springs RSL volunteers who have been running our free shuttle services as an interim until this bus route commenced.

The new PTV route will replace this shuttle service with ‘Route 444 Rockbank Station – Aintree’ on track to give residents in Aintree first time access to public transport, connecting them to Melbourne and Ballarat-bound trains.
