It's been a great start to the year and it's only going to get better with many more stages due to settle before mid-year. Full Construction update below:
Stages 2 – 22 are titled and settled
Stage 23 - Expected titles April/May 2018
Stage 23 is located east of Stage 21, and includes the feature raingarden. Consent to register titles is currently being procured from utility authorities and Council.
Stage 24 - Expected titles April/May 2018
Stage 24 is located in close proximity to the Local Town Centre, south of Stage 23 and north of Stages 26 and 30. Consent to register titles is currently being procured from utility authorities and Council.
Stage 25 – Expected titles May 2018
Stage 25 is located south of Stage 22, and north of the Local Town Centre. Asphalt and final lot shaping works are nearing completion.
Stage 26 - Expected titles June 2018
Stage 26 is located south of Stage 24, and abuts the future Local Town Centre to the south. Drainage works and watermain installation is now complete and electrical works and road boxing are commencing.
Stage 27 – Expected titles May 2018
Stage 27 is located east of Stage 23 and abuts the Kororoit Creek reserve. Taylors Road is located north of the stage. Asphalt works are progressing well and final lot shaping works will be commencing shortly.
Stage 28 – Expected titles May 2018
Stage 28 is located east of Stage 23 and 24, and abuts the Kororoit Creek reserve to the east. Asphalt works are progressing well and final lot shaping works will be commencing shortly.
Stage 29 – Expected titles July 2018
Stage 29 is located north of Stage 32, and east of Stage 30. It also abuts the feature drainage reserve to the east. Drainage works are complete and road boxing is progressing well.
Stage 30 – Expected titles August 2018
Stage 30 is located south of Stage 23, north of the Local Town Centre precinct and also comprises the Stage 30 neighbourhood park. Drainage works are progressing well.
Stage 31 – Expected titles December 2018
Stage 31 is located directly north of the Deanside wetlands and south east of the of the future Local Town Centre precinct and also comprises the Stage 31 neighbourhood park. Bulk earthworks are progressing.
Stage 32 – Expected titles January 2019
Stage 32 is located to the east of Stage 30 and the future Local Town Centre precinct. Sewer works are well progressed sand drainage works have commenced
Stage 33 – Expected titles March 2019
Stage 33 is located north of Stage 31 and the Deanside wetlands and to the east of the of the future Local Town Centre precinct. Bulk earthworks are progressing.
Stage 34 - Expected titles June 2019
Stage 34 is located north of Stage 33 and to the east of the of the future Local Town Centre precinct and also comprises the Stage 34 neighbourhood park. Preliminary Earthworks have recently commenced.
Stage 37 – Expected titles May 2019
Stage 37 is located directly north-west of the future Local Town Centre precinct and north of the Active Open Space Playing fields. Construction is forecasted to commence in May 2018.
Active Open Space
Stage 1 of the Active Open Space precinct comprises of one AFL Oval, adventure playground, youth space and car parking. Construction works are now completed. Stage 2 of the Active Open Space comprises of a second AFL oval and 10 tennis courts and the sporting pavilion with construction completed. The ovals are expected to be ready for use in fourth quarter of 2018 following a 1 year establishment period of the grass playing surface.
The first stage of Taylors Road involves the construction of a new single carriageway (one lane in each direction) from Leakes Road to Frontier Avenue adjacent to Stage 18 accessed via a left out/right in intersection. As part of the project, a new un-signalised T-intersection will also be formed on Leakes Road at the entrance to the new Taylors Road. This will involve the widening and reconstruction of Leakes Road on both north and south approaches along with the construction of raised concrete splitter islands and new line markings. Asphalt works on Taylors Road alignment is well progressed, traffic on Leakes Road will be changed over to the new widened eastern carriageway after Easter to allow construction of the Leakes Road Western carriageway to commence. The first stage of the project is estimated to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
The second stage of the Taylors Road from Frontier Avenue to Fields Street has recently commenced.
