Fifth Land Release Sells Out in 3 hours

Over 100 buyers queued at Woodlea, one of the largest masterplanned community in Melbourne’s West, on Saturday 13 June to snap up one of the exclusive lots available in the latest land release with all lots sold by 1:00pm.

All of the 33 lots released over the weekend were sold within three hours from its release at 10:00am, with a selection of buyers choosing to camp-out to secure their place.

Woodlea Project Director, Matthew Dean, said the camp-outs and sell-out success of the latest stage highlighted the demand for entry into one of Melbourne’s most exciting new masterplanned communities, with over 5,000 enquiries already registered to the database.

“We anticipated some queues following the strong interest in the weeks leading up to the release but it was overwhelming to see some buyers choosing to camp-out overnight. This certainly indicates the market’s appetite for quality homes at an affordable price point and Woodlea delivers on all points.

“Following the response from the weekend, we will be bringing forward the next land release, which is anticipated to occur in four weeks time, and offer a wider selection of blocks to ensure we can keep up with the demand,” said Mr Dean.

This release, sized from 350 square metres to 759 square metres and priced from $159,000, attracted a host of buyers to Woodlea – a new community that will feature some 7,000 houses and become home to up to 20,000 residents upon completion.

“Since launching in late March, we have now sold 229 lots in less than three months which is an impressive result in Melbourne’s land sales market.

“Woodlea is arguably the most in-demand masterplanned community in Melbourne’s West. Our well-priced lots, coupled with low interest rates, have driven this level of interest as we continue to address affordability.

“The quality infrastructure that is being invested into Woodlea provides us with a competitive position in the market driving demand from a range of buyers including first home owners, upgraders and even a handful of Sydney residents ,” added Dean.
