Woodlea is coming to life and it is great to see so many residents and visitors enjoying our community each week. As Woodlea reaches new depth as a community in action, we look forward to some very exciting milestones just on the horizon such as the Stage 4 park, due for completion in December 2016, followed by the Stage 7 Park, Major Play and Active Open Space Precinct scheduled to open early 2017.
CONSTRUCTION AND TITLE UPDATES
Stage 9 - Expected titles – August 2016
Stage 9 is located south of the Active Open Space precinct and east of the Stage 7 Park. The Plan of Subdivision has been lodged at the Titles Office and is now awaiting registration.
Stage 10 - Expected titles early September 2016
Stage 10 is located south of the Active Open Space precinct. Construction works are complete and consent to register the titles is currently being procured from utility authorities and Council.
Stage 11 - Expected titles - December 2016
Stage 11 is located south of the planned Bacchus Marsh Grammar Primary School and includes a neighbourhood park. The reticulation of services is complete, kerb and channel is also complete and the footpath and road preparation works have commenced.
Stage 12 - Expected titles December 2016
Stage 12 is located south of the future town centre precinct and adjacent to the Deanside Wetlands conservation area. Stage 12 is progressing closely behind Stage 11. The reticulation of services is complete, kerb and channel is also complete and the footpath and road preparation works have commenced.
Stage 13 - Expected titles January 2017
Stage 13 is located south of stage 12 and adjacent to the Deanside Wetlands conservation area. Sewer and drainage reticulation works are complete and water and gas reticulation works have commenced.
Stage 14 - Expected titles March 2017
Stage 14 is located south of stage 13 and adjacent to the Deanside Wetlands conservation area. Construction has commenced and bulk earthworks are underway.
Stage 15 - Expected titles January 2017
Stage 15 is located south of the display village, which includes the old Woodlea sales office. Bulk earthworks are complete and sewer, drainage, water and gas reticulation works have commenced.
Stage 16 - Expected titles May 2017
Stage 16 is located north of the Active Open Space precinct. Construction has commenced and bulk earthworks are underway.
Stage 17 - Expected titles June 2017
Stage 17 is located north of the display village. Construction is expected to commence in September 2016.
Stage 18 - Expected titles July 2017
Stage 18 abuts Stage 17 to the west, and both Stages 5 and 16 to the south. Construction is expected to commence in September 2016.
Stage 19 - Expected titles July 2017
Stage 19 will abut Stage 18 to the west and Stage 16 to the south. Construction is expected to commence in September 2016.
Stage 20 - Expected titles September 2017
Stage 20 is located north west of the local town centre and includes a neighbourhood park. Construction is expected to commence in October 2016.
Stage 4 Park
Park construction is underway with the below ground works completed. Concrete seating walls and rock placement and mounding is currently underway with shelter footings to be installed in the coming weeks. The park is due to be completed early December and open to the public prior to Christmas.
Stage 7 Park
The park construction is due to commence in September and be completed early 2017.
Major Play (Located next to the Active Open Space)
Is currently under construction with the bulk earthworks underway on site. The park is due to be completed early 2017.
Active Open Space
Civil earthworks are progressing well in Phase 1 of the Active Open Space sports facility (comprising 1 AFL Oval, adventure playground, youth space, pavilion and car parking) with completion anticipated in the 1st quarter of 2017. Construction of Phase 2 of the Active Open Space facility (comprising a second AFL oval and 10 tennis courts) has also commenced with expected completion in the 4th quarter of 2017.

A FREE trial shuttle service has launched at Woodlea, offering pick up and drop off services for residents to and from Rockbank train station Monday - Friday for the peak hour train service. A special thanks to Cr. Bob Turner, City of Melton Mayor who came down to launch the first service, and the dedicated Caroline Springs RSL members who are volunteering to bring this iniative to life! We were delighted to welcome 10 local scouts to Woodlea, who met with our Community Development Manager to learn about neighbourhood ownership and the role young people play in community engagement, urban design and citizenship. Coupled with a one hour of service/volunteering they completed several award requirements of their badgework!
