Is there a cycling path?
Shared cycling and walking paths will be located throughout the estate. On road cycling lanes will be located on arterial and higher order collector roads.
When each stage is developed, a section of integrated shared path network will be developed.
Will there be a dog park?
Woodlea is working with Melton City Council to set aside a suitable location for delivery of a dog park, noting the popularity of pets and how they engender community interaction. Further announcements will be made once this has been agreed with Council.
What facilities will be in each neighbourhood park?
Neighbourhood parks will be designed to cater for a range of age groups and include distinctive and high quality play equipment , barbecues, shelters, passive kick about space and seating.
When will the parks be delivered in each neighbourhood?
Construction of parks will typically commence shortly after civil works are complete to ensure parks are open for residents when they move in.
Within 12 months of civil construction completion, depeding on seasonality.
When will nature strips be installed and who maintains them?
Nature strips will typically be completed 6 months post civil completion to ensure a large volume of homes are completed to avoid damage during the building construction phase. Once completed, residents are responsible for maintaining nature strips including regular mowing and removal of weeds.
This will be regulated by Woodlea and Melton City Council.
Within 12 - 18 months depending on resident dwelling completion.
What sporting facilities will be available?
Planned for Woodlea :
4 AFL ovals
10 tennis courts - multipurpose with netball
4 soccer pitches
Indoor sports facility to be delivered by Council
Tennis Courts, Cricket Nets by 3rd quarter 2017 in Precinct 1. 2 AFL ovals ready for sporting use in 2018. Pavilion by early 2018.

Will there be a fitness trail?
A shared path network encouraging jogging/cycling and walking will be constructed along key routes linking all neighbourhood parks, the active open space, woodlands, Kororoit Creek and town centres.
Each neighbourhood park will have an outdoor fitness station which will lead to a higher order fitness space in the Active Open Space precinct.
